About

With video mapping buildings and objects ca be brought to life with projection. This particular project was aimed at studying the works of a Pulitzer Prize winner architect and designing an object inspired by him or her to video map on to. Tom Mayne and Jean Nouvel bith inspired this object: the laser cut wooden skeleton is derived from Mayne's Diamond Ranch High School in California. The acrylic stories with the cut outs refer to Nouvel's designs for the Vigo Port in Spain. The project took a course of 4 months in which 100 sketches and several physical objects were made before a final idea was developed for the object. The result was a video containing information about the architect and an animation based on their designs which was projected onto the object to make it appear alive.
